I remember it vividly. There’s gotta be an easier way to do this. If I just had the energy (without drinking umpteen cups of coffee a day or sugary Red Bulls all day). If I could just get up an hour earlier maybe I could get this done? But, I NEED some sleep! I’m exhausted as it is! I really WANT to be healthy again, though. I do. Can I not do that without starving myself or working out hours upon hours? I researched, I studied, and guess what?

I was 80 pounds overweight with a smile on the outside and slowly killing myself on the inside.
I never struggled with weight loss really. When I had my son, everything changed. I felt horrible. I was comfortable with searching “clothes to fit pear shaped bodies”, eating my feelings, and binging on Netflix without a care in the world. I was a newly wed and a new mom. It was “comfortable weight” & baby weight wasn’t it? There’s only so many months of blaming “the baby” for how I let myself go. I was sick and I didn’t even know it.
It didn’t hit me hard until the day I saw the picture above. I was pictured beside a friend who used to be twice my size. Then I realized that we switched places. I thought I’d jump on an exercise plan and START AGAIN. The plan promised results. What did I have to lose? 30 days flat. I could do this!
Just do these exercises and then follow this meal plan and LOSE as much weight as you want!? I ordered it right away and then I couldn’t WAIT to get started! I pushed play as soon as the shiny package came in the mail. 5 min in and doing good. Oh wait? That was only the “warm up”? Oh geez. Ok. Here we go. It didn’t take me long to figure out I couldn’t do half the moves. I couldn’t get through a 20 minute workout let alone an hour. I spent hundreds on supplements and shakes that did absolutely nothing for me but make me gag and feel strung out. Nothing was working.
I was even more exhausted and now spending money I didn’t have on things that just weren’t working for me. Spending money on food I didn’t like. Killing myself after work trying to get that workout in and not seeing any sort of result. It was super frustrating, so I stopped. Again.
My aha moment wasn’t until I put my nursing skills to the test. I was going to figure this out. I was going to go inside the body and figure out exactly what was going on. I could do it! That’s when my research began. Wayyy back In 2012. Countless hours and trying things and using myself as a guinea pig to figure this all out. I LOVE a good experiment. I love learning how things work in the body. I love figuring complicated problems out. I was in my zone and that’s when TS Transformations was born.
