A typical day in phase 3 of the Skinny Drops protocol is much like phase 2 that first week but you’ll be adding in more calories and one food group every couple days to see which foods you can and cannot tolerate. I like to think of phase 3 as the learning phase and keep a log of everything that makes you feel not so good.

Phase 3 Suggestions

These are all just suggestions to get an idea of where to start. My first suggestion during the first week of phase 3 is to increase your calories gradually. If you’re coming off of the 500-800 calorie protocol, go ahead and increase your protein portion sizes to 6-8 ounces per meal as this alone will help you increase your calories. I would concentrate on adding in more calories before adding in new food groups. I’ve had much success doing it this way the last several rounds of drops. In phase 3 remember you can now add in new proteins and mix veggies and add simple fats like avocado oil, olive oil, and real butter.

*Don’t forget you’re going to want to recalculate your macros for a ketogenic lifestyle using the keto calculator here so you know how many calories you should be aiming for by the end of the 3rd week in phase 3 protocol.

It’s very important to increase your calories during phase 3. Without the drops in your system you will need to get your calorie intake up to par because why? Our bodies depend on food for fuel. As I always say, the phase 2 low calorie part of this protocol is not SUSTAINABLE for long term use. This diet was designed in this manner because we use food for fuel and your body requires a minimum of 900-1000 calories for everyday functional metabolic processes.

The phase 3 metabolic process

This baffles some people but I want to explain what happens differently in phase 3 of the protocol vs phase 2. During phase 2 the drops actually help break down abnormal fat for calories and according to Dr. Simeons’ original protocol Pounds and Inches, you are getting approximately 2500-4000 calories a day during phase 2 because of the abnormal fat breakdown.

When the drops have left your system in phase 3 your body will be like “whoa!”, where did all my calories go? if you do not increase your calorie consumption. Most people actually feel like they may be eating way too much on phase 3 compared to phase 2, but it’s actually the opposite. You are getting fewer calories in phase 3 because the drops are no longer burning the abnormal fats inside the body. This is crucial information to help you maintain on phase 3.

Exercising on phase 3

One of the first questions I get asked about phase 3 is when can I start exercising? My recommendation? Jump right into an exercise routine. Your body is coming out of a very strict protocol and with increasing calories you’ll want to be burning some of those babies off.

Start with walking. Just get moving. Our bodies were made to move and with the no workouts during phase 2 we want to introduce your muscles into working again. Also be sure to introduce exercise slowly as you increase your calories. If you do not get enough calories or too many calories and not exercising you may gain. Also it’s important to remember when you introduce weight training on phase 3 your muscle fibers will tare. They will then hold onto water to help repair. So if you see a slight gain the next day after a weight lifting sesh and you know you stayed true to protocol the day before, don’t let it freak you out. It’s most likely water. Make sure you’re drinking water and take a break from the weights that day and go for a walk instead.

Safe Foods To Start Adding Week 1 of Phase 3

I usually introduce cheese right away only because I know from previous rounds that my body can tolerate it. HOWEVER, my body cannot tolerate 2% milk and I’ve found this to be true each time I attempted to add it back in. I can however tolerate unsweetened almond milk. Dairy such as milk, cheese, and yogurt may cause a big gain quickly. If you want, wait it out another week before adding the dairy back in. A slow re-introduction is best with dairy. Many people do not realize they have a dairy intolerance before doing a protocol like this.

Some safe foods you can add back in during week 1 of phase 3: avocados, avocado oils, nuts such as almonds and macadamia nuts. Add larger protein sizes with new veggies such as green peppers, broccoli, and cauliflower.

Oils. Oils add approximately 400 calories in 4T of oil a day. Make sure to lather your protein or add MCT oil to your salads to help get your calories during phase 3.

Hidden Sugars and Carbs in Phase 3

There are many foods you can start adding back in in phase 3 but be sure you are checking your labels for hidden carbs and sugars. This will be your key to success with phase 3. Everyone has a different tolerance to different foods. If you find you are sensitive to dairy (bloating, gassy, diarrhea or constipation) then wait a week or so and try it again. Dairy can be super inflammatory on the gut and take longer to digest. Also try adding dairy in at different times of the day. Try it with breakfast and lunch and skip it for dinner. It’s not always what you add but the timing of it during the day may make a difference.

Remember to continue to drink your water in phase 3 to help flush out your fat stores. Carnival lemonade may be consumed all day during phase 3 of the skinny drop protocol along with your coffee and tea.

Keto Diet VS HCG Diet?

I wanted to write this article because this question was brought to me by an avid “Keto-er” who wanted to try our ever-so-popular Xtreme Skinny Weight Loss Drops along with the keto WOE (way of eating). So, is there a difference and can the keto WOE be done with the diet drops? HCG Diet Drops have a specific menu for a reason.
Well, there is a big difference between these 2 styles of eating. There are even more similarities but no, you should not do the Keto WOE with drops and here’s why: — The HCG Diet is a diet derived from Dr. Simeons back in the 1950’s. Dr. Simeons wrote a book  called “pounds and inches” on his studies with “fat boys” and pregnant women. His studies showed that when fat boys (as he called them) were given HCG (the pregnancy hormone) along with a very low calorie diet, on average the fat boys would lose an astonishing 0.8-1.5 pounds of fat per day. I know, AMAZING right?

But how does this work?

The HCG hormone works with the body & the diet to create a state of ketosis. The HCG allows the for your excess fat in the body to be “unlocked” and used as an energy source during this short term diet. Much like the keto diet, your body uses your STORED fat as an energy source. Although the hcg diet is a low fat low carb way of eating for a short time period.  (mainly because the very low carbs are not a sustainable way of eating for long periods of time, unlike the keto diet which is looked at as more of “lifestyle” change rather than a short term diet) Since the body is consuming such low fat during the hcg diet the body is using the stored fat as an energy source helping you burn inches off and lose pounds on the scale. The average weight loss with our drops is 10-25 pounds in 21 days. The range is wide for the simple fact that some people have much more to lose than others. The similarities in the two diets is just that the body enters a state of ketosis with both diets. What that means is the body is deprived of carbohydrates. Since carbohydrates are usually the FIRST thing the body burns as an energy source, the body will then look for another energy source ( aka fats) since you’re not feeding the body carbohydrates. When carb levels are low, the body must break down fat stores to provide sufficient energy.

Ketones. What Are They?

Ketones are the derivative from fat when fat is metabolized as energy. Ketones are used by the muscles, the brains, and other parts of the body for energy. When the body is in ketosis, it is constantly burning fat for energy and any low carb diet of less than 50-100 net grams of carbohydrates per day is considered to be “ketogenic”. I have a lot of customers who will transition to the Keto WOE after a round of HCG drops. It takes approximately 9-14 days for your body to enter a state of ketosis after carb deprivation. This is why during week 2 of the HCG diet is where you will SEE the most fat loss (inches) falling from your body and even so in week 3. As to why the “keto” way of eating can NOT be done with the hcg diet drops…  The HCG Diet is a low FAT diet vs the Keto diet which is a HIGH FAT diet. The reasoning for the low fat on the hcg diet is so your body uses your fat stores as the energy source vs fat stores and fat consumed during the keto diet. It just makes sense that you’ll see faster results with the hcg diet than the keto diet. Yes makes faster sense that you’ll see faster fat loss BUT this does not rule out doing the Keto WOE with the drops. IT’s Working! See edit below! ** Edit 2-15-18 I am trial and erroring this way of eating with the weight loss drops and IT’S WORKING. I’m keeping carbs at a min of 13g and under, protein between 50-65 g a day (depending on exercise) and fat intake between 60-77g! I’ve lost 6 pounds in 11 days. Which is awesome considering i only wanted to lose 6 pounds total. IT’S WORKING for pounds on the scale. However, fat loss was minimal during the 11 day trial. Ummm, it honestly depends on who you ask. This is a great debate from many doctors. The debate brings in facts of someone with already high cholesterol levels, obese patients with heart issues, liver issues, etc. This varies from person to person. If you’re concerned about eating keto becuase of high cholesterol levels, I urge you to speak with your doctor first and foremost and then try the HCG Diet drops first instead. Ketogenic diets have been used for many many years without major medical problems and there is plenty of clinical evidence out there that low carb and high protein diets are effective at not only losing weight, but reducing disease predisposition. Losing weight without exercise, can it be done? we say yes!!

A conversation with a customer the other day inspired me to write this blog post. Sam has lost a whopping 80 pounds since May of this year using Xtreme Skinny Drops. Has she exercised? No. Losing weight without exercise isn’t impossible. We say you can do it! 

After seeing a friend of her’s for the first time in awhile the friend complimented her on her weight loss and asked her what she was doing. Sam explained to her about cleaning up her diet and the protocol that you follow along with the weight loss drops. Her friend’s response “I can’t wait to see how fast you put that back on”. Girllll, please. Do some research before you go spitting at the mouth and insulting someone who has just lost 80 pounds in 4 months!! 


There are some people in this world who can not physically exercise. Whether it be from an injury, their current weight, or other health conditions, there are some people out there who can’t do it. 

Sam’s friend pissed me off. Like really pissed me off. I feel that is a slap in my face seeing that I base my business off of those who can not exercise and how to help them reach even the tiniest goal in their weight loss journey without exercise to get their mind in the right place and saying “yes, i can do this!”.  It keeps them pushing harder, and who knows, they may not be able to start with exercise but by the end of their journey they will start exercising regularly. That is what Bee-Xtreme is all about. So Sam’s friend– do some research before you spew at the mouth. Seriously. 


This is the category most fall into. This is the category I fall into. It’s not that I don’t like to exercise, because I do. I need it mentally. It’s a stress reliever for me. But I cannot spend 2-3 hours in a gym every night. I have a family, I run not one but 2 businesses, my son has homework, I am also a nurse that works at least 4 days a week outside of my home and I would rather spend my time enjoying life than killing myself in a gym. 

I exercise 20-40 minutes a day. that’s it. And not every day! Sometimes I barely have time to pee! LOL!! 


Yes!! Absolutely! Just clean up that food that you’re putting in your mouth!! The protocol for the Xtreme Skinny Drops consists of 800-1000 calories of clean eating from fresh proteins and veggies and some fruit. 

The diet is a short diet ranging from 10 days to 40 days. It is short because it’s effective and you do not need to do it for very long periods of time to see results. Most people will lose 10-25 POUNDS in 21 days. 

Because of the low calorie consumption, EXERCISE IS NOT ENCOURAGED with this diet. 

The most important part about this diet is not the “diet days”. It’s the stabilization phase after you stop taking the weight loss drops. It is in those 3 weeks is when your body will recognize your new weight and recognize a new starting point. This is crucial for weight loss success long term. 


Don’t worry, there’s correction days that can be done to get you back down on the scale. We are only human guys!! Some people slip up and have some “no-no” food. As long as you are recognizing this mistake and correcting it, you’re LEARNING. And that is the most important thing to take away from this diet!!


As we get older and older we have to discipline ourselves more and more. And I hate to tell Sam’s friend– that her “exercise is the only way to lose weight” is going right out the window when she gets that dreaded injury. ( I pray she doesn’t get injured but if she does, she can find us here) 😉
